Boyle Heights WorkSource Center as part of the City of Los Angeles Employment Network is dedicated to providing employment services for people with disabilities and other job seekers. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live independently, earn wages and achieve their dreams. The Boyle Heights WorkSource Center offers an array of job seeker Service and Assistive Technology which included:

  • Career Counseling

  • Job Placement Assistance

  • Career Workshop

  • Career Training

  • Telephones

  • copiers, fax, computers & printers

  • Search the internet & utilize online job boards and online resources

Assistive Technology

  • Teletype Device- Allows users to communicate through telephone services via keyboard input and LED without the need for verbal communication.

  • Dragon Speech Recognition Dictate- An easy-to-use voice recognition application powered by Dragon NaturallySpeaking that allows you to easily speak and instantly see your text content.

  • WYNN Reader-literacy software tool designed to enhance success for individuals with reading challenges and writing difficulties. WYNN was developed with the help of special educators and individuals with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and aphasia.

  • Zoom Text Monitor-Monitor used to assist individual with visual impairments is magnify hard to read text.

  • Height Adjustable Work Station-Providers users with the ability to adjust table height specific need.
