When we began serving our community 40 years ago, workforce development was evolving in important ways, with resources shifting to serve a selected community need.
Today, we serve thousands of job seekers locally by helping them get the assistance and training needed to expand their skills and career opportunities. We work closely with employers to understand their desires and requirements so that we align job seekers with in-demand jobs.
Since 1998, CSAC proudly managed, with distinction, the City of Los Angeles Downtown WorkSource Center.
Today, we are equally as enthusiastic to oversee the operation of the City of Los Angeles Boyle Heights WorkSource Center – your local America’s Job Center of California (AJCC). Located at the Aliso-Pico Multi-Purpose Center – the newest WorkSource Center site – generously funded by the City of Los Angeles – opened its doors on December 1, 2014.

The Boyle Heights WorkSource Center is a state-of-the-art facility and offers a comprehensive range of personnel and human resource development services, which empower job seekers to meet the current and future workforce needs of employers in the greater Los Angeles region. This promotes an increase in employment, an increase in wages, and development of occupational skills for our customers; resulting in an overall improvement of workforce quality and increased productivity and competitiveness for the individual, the community and the entire economic region.
The Boyle Heights WorkSource Center is committed to helping businesses with employment and training needs by providing access to a pool of trained and a motivated workforce through applicant recruiting and screening. We directly invest in a business’ bottom-line through the financial support of On-the-Job and Customized Training Initiatives. We link business to multiple state and federal Tax Credit Programs. When a business must economize, we are there to provide assistance for laid-off workers. The WorkSource Centers are managed through the auspices of the City of Los Angeles’ Economic and Workforce Development Department and Workforce Investment Board, which utilize state and federal funds, to provide services free-of-charge to job seekers and employers.
